Free form sensors from Sensor Products expand the Tactilus line of dynamic electronic pressure mapping systems. As many as 16 sensing points detect pressures up to 60 psi (4.21 kg/sq cm) with simple electronics, and a USB interface. Sensors can be used independently or assembled in a matrix for movement from one application to another without the need for a new system. Free form sensor systems are suitable for a variety of uses, including biomechanics, PCB manufacture, polishing, clamping, door seals, heat seals, LCD bonding, switches, and lamination. Accompanying Microsoft Windows-based Tactilus software allows pressure readings without calibration and pressure versus time tracking, allowing actual real-time analysis of two contacting surfaces.
