It features a narrow 11- by 13-deg beam pattern, which makes it ideal for monitoring a specific area without detecting adjacent objects. With two independent adjustable sensing zones, the sensor provides far and near proximity warning signs with the capability to detect objects over 40 m away. The R-Gage Q240 provides easy setup and configuration of range, sensitivity and output with simple DIP switches. The sensor also features rugged IP67 housing to withstand harsh environments and ensure reliable performance in temperatures ranging from -40 to 149 F. The sensor has no moving parts and a rugged design that resists high-shock and vibration conditions. It also features an optional snap-on all-weather shield for protection against extreme weather conditions that helps shed liquid off the sensor’s face.
