The PLX32-EIP-MBTCP, PLX32-EIP-SIE, and the PLX32-MBTCP-SIE gateways from Prosoft Technology enable bi-directional data transfers between devices on dissimilar networks without IP address alteration. Courtesy: Prosoft TechnologyProSoft Technology’s three new PLX30 gateways feature two independent ports that let each protocol reside on a separate subnet, allowing users to pass information between subnets without changing the end device’s IP address. The gateways support Ethernet/IP to Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP to Siemens industrial Ethernet, Modbus TCP/IP to Siemens industrial Ethernet, and other pairs of similar networks. The Ethernet/IP-enabled gateways include an embedded EDS add-on profile.
