To help users develop, commission, and maintain systems more efficiently, GE Fanuc unveiled Version 4.0 of its Cimplicity human-machine interface (HMI) on Sept. 21. The company says Cimplicity 4.0 combines an easy-to-use, intuitive graphical interface with new development and control tools, such as a system doctor, report manager, and action calendar. The software is located in an open system framework that allows it to work with a wide range of control and management enterprise systems (MES). Cimplicity 4.0 also gives the user better control and scheduling, more powerful monitoring and alarms, and richer options for reporting and data gathering.
