Rockville, Md.— OmniMeter handheld virtual instrumentation platform is a Microsoft Windows CE-based platform that allows virtual instrument developers to rapidly deploy handheld test and measurement devices. With added support for commercial off-the-shelf DAQ peripherals, the OmniMeter is said to aid users in developing custom and automated devices for mobile and field environments. Currently, the OmniMeter supports the National Instruments 5102 oscilloscope card, the DAQCard-AI-16XE-50 E Series multifunction I/O card, and National Instruments’ 4050 digital multimeter card. Also included is a demonstration program in source code format to enable virtual instrument designers to rapidly create custom software that accesses the cards. DVP
