Caldba, CA— To provide design, development, and deployment solutions for semiconductor vendors and OEMs, Helicomm has released what it reports is the industry’s broadest collection of ZigBee-ready development tools and wireless products. Helicomm’s platform includes an IEEE 802.15.4 IC and product design verification tool, ZigBee-Ready Signal Generator; an integrated, embedded ZigBee networking development kit, EZ-Net DevKit; and a 2.4 GHz embedded wireless module, IP-Link 1200.

‘We’re pleased to provide users with the broadest collection of ZigBee development solutions available in the industry,’ says Jack Sun, Helicomm’s president. ‘From IC design to product development to application prototyping and FCC-certified modules, Helicomm is uniquely positioned to help companies integrate ZigBee, and get to market fast.’

ZigBee Ready Signal Generator is an IEEE 802.15.4-compliant, DSP-based design tool that enables semiconductor vendors to validate IC design to simplify development and compliance testing, and enables manufacturers to validate production test processes and pre-certify products prior to submission for ZigBee interoperability testing.

EZ-Net DevKit is an integrated wireless solution that enables manufactures and integrators to accelerate product development and simplify wireless network planning. The EZ-Net DevKit is available in both 2.4GHz and 915MHz versions, and includes IP-Link embedded wireless modules, flexible ZigBee mesh networking software, and PC-based management software for module provisioning and wireless sensor network management.

IP-Link 1200 is an FCC-certified embedded wireless module that manufacturers and integrators can easily integrate into products to reduce development cycles by six months or more. IP-Link 1200 incorporates an IEEE 802.15.4-compliant 2.4GHz RF IC, low-power, 8-bit microcontroller, ZigBee networking software and
