The Keyence Corp. of America CV-3000 vision system

CV-3000 vision system from Keyence Corp. of America provides multiple color and monochrome camera connectivity using up to 4 cameras from among 8 models.
Triple-processors provide software tool processing up to 10 times faster than conventional systems, even with 2-MP color cameras, company says. Flexible memory and new software tools handle applications that previously required application specific vision systems. Built on an advanced color extraction (ACE) engine with 16.7 million “auto-teach” color filters, the system provides precise color differentiation, high contrast, and easy to process images.
The controller uses two DSP chips to achieve image processing speeds twice that of conventional models. The 240,000 pixel and 2-MP models use the company’s double buffer technology to cut image transfer times in half and can process up to 20,000 parts/min. System includes 16 inspection tools to meet the needs of even the most demanding machine vision applications.
A statistical function allows storage of up to 20,000 measurement data points in internal memory. Any combination of camera models can be used together; users may select the optimum unit with the performance specifications to meet application requirements.
