Saline, MI — HMI solutions and industrial computing products supplier Pro-face America introduced a line of high performance industrial PCs that it says deliver enhanced data protection for demanding factory floor applications. The APL3000 industrial PCs feature a 2 GHz Intel Core Duo CPU and expanded memory, up to 4 GB of RAM. The company says a unique, built-in factory alert system monitors PC health and generates instant notifications about excessive heat exposure, impending hard drive or fan failure, or CPU or power troubles. An advanced data protection system uses hot swappable hard drives and RAID-enabled redundancy to protect critical plant data.

The company says its WinGP software enhances application flexibility, allowing the PCs to operate as an open HMI or as a PC running third-party Microsoft Windows applications. The PCs are said to be UL Certified Class I Div 2 and CE rated. The product line includes an extensive range of operator interfaces with screens measuring from 12.1 to 19 in.RAID redundancy, according to the company, increases data integrity. Reliability-availability-serviceability (RAS) functionality provides early warning fault detection.
