Touchscreen graphics, one switch-selectable serial port, and communications via EIA-232, EIA-422, or EIA-485 are among features of the QTerm-Z60 operator interface. Unit has a QVGA, 320 x 240-pixel, 256-color, STN LCD and is viewable in most lighting conditions. Terminal uses QSI’s Qlarity object-based graphic terminal programming language for design of a control panel interface or a complete stand-alone application. Flexible system lets the user apply pre-defined objects, edit existing objects, or author objects. Qlarity Foundry PC-based design tool provides a Microsoft Windows environment for screen creation, application simulation, debugging, and downloading to the new terminal. Rugged, economical unit comes in two models to suit various environments and budgets. Z60/H version is NEMA-4 rated and has a user-selectable serial port while the Z60/L is NEMA-12 rated, has one EIA-232 serial port, and a slightly different display. The terminal is industrially hardened to operate in many environmental conditions and meets NEMA-4 specifications for hose-down, icing, and salt spray when mounted properly. It is also CE certified.
