Foxboro, Mass. —DCS Integrator for Fisher Systems was intended to ease users’ migration from Fisher distributed control systems to the latest I/A Series open industrial system technology. This straightforward approach integrates the I/A Series system at the basic process I/O level, avoiding any possible use of proprietary elements. “Bottlenecks” are eliminated and no multivendor software licensing is required. Since migration is done without replacing existing system racks, power supplies, I/O terminations, or field wiring, users are said to save from 30 to 60% of the cost of a total system replacement.
