Industrial tablets and touch-panel computers from Wonderware have been pre-integrated with InTouch HMI software to provide users with an easy-to-use, familiar development environment for creating, testing, and deploying automation applications. Existing applications can be re-used on the devices without modifications, allowing users to apply the same software throughout the plant. New line of products work out of the box, without additional configuration, and include access to Wonderware’s extensive library of device integration tools to ensure connectivity to a wide range of systems.
In comments to Control Engineering about the new line, Yves Dufort, general manager and director of services, Invensys Wonderware, said that offering hardware with software represents a “game-changing point in our history.” Dufort added that integrated support will be transparent to customers, through the hardware vendor or through existing software support from Wonderware and its distributors.
