Industry forum event to focus on IIoT, information technology trends

The 20th annual ARC Industry Forum will focus on how developments such as Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Industrie 4.0 and the connected enterprise are moving to a stage where real solutions are emerging for manufacturers in a variety of industries.

The 20th annual ARC Industry Forum, which is from Feb. 8-11, 2016, in Orlando, Fla., will focus on how industrial companies are beginning to move beyond the computer-enhanced business models. Many are embracing new models that take advantage of intelligent connected products coupled with potent software and analytics. Terms such as the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), smart manufacturing, Industrie 4.0, digitization, and the connected enterprise are moving past the conceptual stages to a point where real solutions are emerging. 

The speakers at the ARC Industry Forum will discuss these topics and how they relate and apply to many industries such as oil and gas, life sciences, processing, power generation, automotive, and aerospace. Keynote speakers at the event will be:

  • Michael Carroll, Vice President, Innovation & Operations Excellence, Georgia-Pacific
  • Sandy Vasser, Facilities I&E Manager, ExxonMobil Development
  • Rob High, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Watson Solutions, IBM Software Group.

The ARC Industry Forum will also have workshops and innovation showcases to demonstrate some of the latest technological developments for emerging applications in interoperability, virtual manufacturing, asset management, operations management, supply chain synchronization, and more. Exhibits also have application scenarios for attendees to see how emerging technologies are applied to help solve issues across all industries.
