Industry statistics: Areas most served by system integrators, more international
Oak Brook, IL – Automation system integrators most serve the U.S. East North Central and the South Atlantic regions, according to information collected by Control Engineering , part of Reed Business Information, with its 2008 Automation Integrator Guide . Compared to other regions, system integrators said they were more likely to serve internationally (outside U.S. and Canada) for 2008 than in 2007.
For system integrator listed in the 2008 guide, the following percentages say they serve the following regions in 2008.
62.0% East North Central (OH-IN-IL-MI-WI)
62.0% South Atlantic (DE-MD-VA-WV-NC-SC-GA-FL)
59.0% International (outside of the US & Canada)
58.5% East South Central (KY-TN-AL-MS)
58.4% Middle Atlantic (NY-NJ-PA)
58.1% West South Central (AR-LA-OK-TX)
57.5% Pacific (AK-WA-OR-CA-HI)
54.6% Mountain (MT-ID-WY-CO-NM-AZ-UT-NV)
54.5% West North Central (MN-IA-MO-ND-SD-NE-KS)
53.5% New England (ME-NH-VT-MA-RI-CT)
49.9% Canada (any or all Canadian provinces)
