Steve Eisenbrown, Automation Control and Information Group’s senior vp for commercial marketing, reported that beyond the hype of e-manufacturing is hope for significant productivity leaps for manufacturers. Integrating architectures into an e-manufacturing environment enables rapid deployment and re-deployment of resources, build-to-order delivery cycles, nonstop operations, and supply-chain integration.
A panel of users discussed their experience implementing integrated architectures in manufacturing and equipment.Part of the Rockwell Integrated Architecture initiative lies in creating a common look and feel across all programming packages and visualization development software. This commonality helps customers lower training costs since once trained, a user can pick up a new application rapidly.
