Houston, Tex.— InterCorr’s SmartCET intelligent corrosion monitoring products permit plant operators to monitor corrosion rates alongside other real-time vital process variables, such as pressure, temperature and flow. SmartCET’s ability to detect localized corrosion (pitting) makes it significantly more effective in the early detection of potential problems than do general corrosion rate monitoring technologies. SmartCET “black-box” unit incorporates linear polarization resistance measurement and harmonic distortion analysis to provide quick and accurate assessment of general corrosion rate. Additionally, electrochemical noise measurements determine localized corrosion. SmartCET provides operators, and process managers, a device that helps determine how hard a facility can be “pushed” before damage to expensive assets occurs. www.intercorr.com InterCorr
