New York, NY— GE Infrastructure Sensing is exhibiting its Kaye Validator ITMS at Interphex 2005 , April 26-28, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Kaye Validator ITMS is a portable, at-line instrument for accelerating the cleaning validation process. Operators can assess system cleanliness at-line with no delay, and get production lines up and running quickly. As an alternative to traditional analytical techniques, such as HPLC and TOC, Kaye Validator reportedly provides gains in production line utilization and capacity.
“Cleaning validation is a notoriously time consuming process. With the Kaye Validator ITMS, customers can verify system cleanliness in a matter of seconds rather than hours. The potential gains in equipment utilization and productivity are significant, representing added revenue and profit opportunities for our customers,” says Karen Huffman, segment leader for GE Infrastructure Sensing’s healthcare business.
Using proprietary ion trap mobility spectrometry, Kaye Validator ITMS analyzes swab samples for the presence of small-molecule API residues and cleaning agents in seconds. The device is sensitive to pico-gram detection levels, simple to operate, and requires minimal consumables. As a result, GE Infrastructure Sensing reports it makes cleaning validation more efficient.
