Invensys Process Systems customers to meet in Dallas

Concurrent user group meetings for Foxboro, Avantis, Triconex, and SimSci-Esscor product brand customers will be held at the annual Invensys Process Systems Customer Conference, Dec. 4-7, in Dallas at the Hilton Anatole Hotel. Technical session topics and industry roundtables include: distributed process control (DCS), safety and critical control, manufacturing execution systems (MES), simulation and optimization software, reliability and asset management (CMMS/EAM), SCADA, and enterprise control systems. Information will also be presented on industry-related topics. Key event speakers include Microsoft Corp. worldwide manufacturing industry managing director Charles Johnson and Chemtura Corp. process control manager John Snodgrass.

Charles Johnson Microsoft Corp., worldwide manufacturing industry managing director

Johnson has primary responsibility for the development and implementation of Microsoft’s global manufacturing strategy including the prioritization of industry solutions and their alignment to Microsoft’s worldwide partner ecosystem. He ‘guides a team of experienced manufacturing industry experts that have a deep understanding of the industry, Microsoft’s manufacturing business worldwide and the importance of defining and updating Microsoft-based solutions to meet the needs of enterprise customers,’ according to meeting organizers.

Snodgrass has worked in the chemical processing industry since 1989, holding several positions in process engineering, operations, and process control. He has worked with the Foxboro I/A Series system since 1992 in continuous and batch industries, focusing on system administration, advanced process control, Gensym G2, and I/A Series Batch.

A exhibit area includes Microsoft, Apprion (wireless infrastructure), Enterasys Networks (secure networks), Pepperl+Fuchs, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and others.
