Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc. has introduced the Scalance W784 line of IP30-rated wireless LAN access points that offer high data security, deterministic control to prioritize client traffic, and flexibility of IEEE 802.11b/g/a open standards. An aluminum housing and a small footprint allow access points and client modules to be wall-mounted or panel-mounted on a 35-mm standard mounting rail. Access points support the WiFi Protected Access (WPA2) specification and the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) for 128-bit encryption, along with MAC address filtering. They also support the standard Point Coordinated Function (PCF) protocol and industrial PCF (iPCF) to offer predictable response times and fast roaming times of less than 50 ms. www.sea.siemens.com Siemens Energy and Automation, Inc.
