Houston, TX— Hoffman (Anoka, MN) is launching its multi-purpose, large Type 1, freestanding enclosures at ISA Expo 2003, Oct. 21-23, at the Reliant Center. Designed for use in areas requiring Type 1 protection, this enclosure can house PLC/main control panels, power distribution cabinets, and HVAC applications in clean environments. It’s available in 11 sizes from 48 x 25 x 12 in. to 84 x 36 x 24 in.

The company says its large Type 1 enclosure’s component mounting options include panel and 19-in. or 23-in. rack angle mounting. Reversible doors are designed with a three-point latch and padlocking handle. The removable back cover provides convenient access to equipment and facilitates fan and filter kit installation. The light gray (RAL 7035) integral 10-gauge steel base allows for secure lifting with a forklift or hand truck, and accommodates bolting to the floor for secure fastening. Lifting tabs simplify overhead hoist transporting and assist in stabilizing the enclosure during component mounting.
