Ixxat adds new USB-to-CAN II to its PC-to-CAN interfaces

Bedford , NH— Ixxat Inc. recently added USB-to-CAN II, an industrial version of its USB-to-CAN Compact, to its PC-to-CAN interface products. The company already offers PC-to-CAN interfaces for PCI, ISA, PC-104, USB, PCMCIA and FlexRay bus standards in high-volume production. USB-to-CAN II features two CAN channels and one LIN channel in an industrial metal housing for connecting to a PC via a USB port.

Coupled with Ixxat’s universal CAN driver, VCI 2.16, and its canAnalyzer V2 software development tools, USB-to-CAN II offers a powerful and comprehensive solution for analysis, development and servicing of CAN and LIN networks, according to Ixxat. USB-to-CAN II uses 16-bit microcontroller system for transmitting and receiving loss-free messages, even in high-transmission-rate and bus-load environments.

Ixxat’s PC-to-CAN interfaces enable PC users to access CAN networks with a variety of passive and intelligent PC interface products based on popular standards and a universal CAN Driver, called VCI 2.16. By supporting many PC interface standards and offering several different CAN boards for each, Ixxat allows users to select an optimum PC-to-CAN interface for applications’ performance requirements or specified unit costs.
