John Berra named Emerson senior vp

John M. Berra was named Aug. 12 as Emerson Electric Co.'s senior vp responsible for its process control business. Including its Fisher-Rosemount companies, Emerson's process control business is its largest and one of its fastest growing units. Mr. Berra, 52, became Fisher-Rosemount's president in 1997.

John M. Berra was named Aug. 12 as Emerson Electric Co.’s senior vp responsible for its process control business. Including its Fisher-Rosemount companies, Emerson’s process control business is its largest and one of its fastest growing units. Mr. Berra, 52, became Fisher-Rosemount’s president in 1997. “John Berra has played a leading role in developing Fisher-Rosemount’s PlantWeb architecture and in establishing it as the new standard of the process control industry,” says Charles Knight, Emerson’s chairman and ceo. “He has been at the forefront of Emerson’s efforts increase the software and service content of our process business, building on our longstanding leadership in devices.”
