Lancom Systems introduces its first Power-over-Ethernet switch

Lancom Systems introduced its first Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch, ES-1108P.

Aachen, Germany — Lancom Systems ned to the company’s product portfolio. The new switch facilitates the integrated networking of home offices, companies, branch offices, VoIP (voice over IP) telephones, and WLAN access points. Prior PoE switches were too heavy or too expensive, the company says.

It has eight Fast Ethernet ports, four with standards-compliant Power over Ethernet. Status of the connections and PoE are clearly displayed on the front of the device. It has an integrated power adapter and can be mounted in 19-in. cabinets.
