Large-memory ramp soak controller
Control strategy optimized for linear temperature movement and stable hold points.
RKC Instrument has released its PF900 ramp soak ¼ DIN process controller, which stores up to 1024 segments (99 patterns with 10 segments, to 10 segments of up to 99 patterns). Using a new RSS (ramp soak stabilizer) algorithm, RKC says the new design suppresses overshoot at the transition time from ramp to soak. Selectable sampling speeds provide precise control resolution to stabilize critical applications.
The 11 character display shows the memory group number and set value, wait zone set value, remaining time, output values, running pattern segment, and a program pattern/output bar graph. Versatile event handling is practical using as many as 11 digital inputs and 12 digital outputs. A front loader port and programming tool eases complicated programming and simplifies placement onto a PC.
Chose from two types of signal modes and either level-PID or segment-PID zones. Additional features include intercontroller communication, flexible pattern end output, wait function, segment repeat, and a variety of memory groups.
RKC says the PF900 ramp/soak controller is an ideal instrument for both end-users and OEMs in a wide range of industries including semiconductor, test stands, environmental chambers, and heat-related processes.
