Laser marking edible products

Database Edible is a patented additive for laser marking edible products such as fresh produce, hard-shelled confectionery, and pharmaceutical tablets. Product removes the need for pre-printed labels by allowing a safe, high-contrast image to be formed directly onto edible products, including eggs and fruit. It uses a chemical reaction with a beam of low power laser light that changes color, and creates a positive image. Additives come as a dry powder or water-based solution and are applied with a spray system or by tumble coating and marking by a low power CO2 laser.
