MT5200 bulk solids level transmitter from K-Tek features an integrated graphic display with waveform screen.

Prairieville, LA —MT5000 Series bulk solids level transmitter from K-Tek is designed for level measurement in bulk solids applications. A concentric waveguide directs a radar beam, alleviating divergence problems and echoes in tanks with narrow openings. Device is unaffected by dust or feed flow and reportedly can measure accurately materials with dielectric constants as low as 1.3. An integrated display provides easy viewing of waveform screens; user-friendly setup menu supports a wide range of languages for use in any part of the world. Two-wire, loop-powered configuration is intended to reduce wiring costs and provide a strong signal over distances.

Compact, modular unit is digital with built-in linearization functions. Standard housing is powder-coated aluminum with optional stainless steel for corrosive environments. Wiring and terminations are isolated from sensors and internal electronics using a dual-compartment design. Multiple output options include 4-20 mA, HART, FOUNDATION fieldbus, and Modbus. Transmitter has no moving parts and requires little or no maintenance. It operates in temperatures to 400 °F (204 °C) and pressures to 1,500 psi (103 bar). System can handle materials with bulk densities to 50 lb/cu ft. Prices start at $1,600.
