Chatsworth, CA — Dytran Instruments introduced a new integrated electronics piezoelectric (IEPE) accelerometer designed for applications where a 360° orientation and a low profile are important. The company says the lightweight accelerometer (9.6 grams) is ideal for use where vertical clearance is limited. The 3211A features a side-exit 10-32 connector, as well as a 10-32 mounting screw. It can be screw mounted or adhesive mounted. Highlights include all-titanium construction, hermetic seal, ring style configuration, low noise JFET electronics and 360° connector orientation. The unit is available with 10mV/g and 100mV/g sensitivities at a price of $431. Potential applications include shaker control and aircraft vibration measurements where a low profile and size are important. —Edited by C.G. Masi , [charlie.masi@reedbusiness.com] senior editor
