Measurement Computing joins LXI consortium

Measurement Computing Corp . has added its name to the list of companies helping to direct the development of a standard for LAN-based test and measurement. The company announced it is joining Agilent, VXI Technology, Keithley, and Rohde & Schwarz as a Strategic Member of the LXI Consortium .

The LXI Consortium is a non-for-profit corporation of test and measurement companies who manage LXI, a next-generation, LAN-based modular architecture standard for automated test systems. The group seeks to develop, support, and promote the LXI standard. LXI‘s compact, flexible package, high-speed I/O, and prolific use of LAN are intended to meet, in particular, the needs of aerospace defense engineers.

By joining together in the LXI Consortium to define standards for communication and data organization between LAN-based instruments and computers, we are ensuring that every customer in this mixed-vendor world will be able to purchase with confidence products that work together and with all the popular software platforms. “ Measurement Computing designs and manufactures computer-based test and measurement hardware and software, including analog and digital I/O boards and serial and GPIB interfaces.
