Measuring wheels for rotary encoders

Posital Fraba’s measuring wheel accessories for its Ixarc family of rotary encoders. The Ixarc encoders are designed for motion control and other sensing applications. When the wheel is mounted on the shaft of an Ixarc encoder it becomes an instrument for measuring linear motion and position. The measuring wheels are available in circumferences of 200 mm and 500 mm. When fitted to multi-turn Ixarc absolute encoders, they have a linear measurement range of up to 500 km. Three rim treatments are available—knurled aluminum, smooth polyurethane and textured polyurethane—designed to help with traction between the wheel and a variety of surfaces.
