Everett, WA— Meterman Test Tools has introduced what it reports are the world’s smallest, full-featured CAT III digital multimeters (DMMs). The new PM Series of ultra-compact DMMs reportedly offer superior user protection with UL safety ratings up to CAT III at 300 V and CAT II at 600 V.

Slightly larger than a credit card, each PM Series model has full-sized utility because of the large, oversized display of its measurement functions. PM Series meters are only 3/8 in. inch thick and weigh less than 3 ounces, so they can easily fit in a shirt pocket. Each multimeter meas-ures ac/dc voltage, resistance, frequency, and capacitance with an audible continuity beeper. PM Series’ three meters offer a range of features, and are available now.

PM51 pocket meter measures frequency and capacitance for facilities and building mainte-nance personnel, automotive technicians, engineering students, and home hobbyists. It also in-cludes 4,000-count autoranging oversized display; capacitance range to 3,000 mF; and CAT II 600 V/CAT III 300 V dual rating.

PM53 pocket meter offers autoranging functions for facilities and building maintenance, residential and commercial electricians, automotive technicians, computer technicians, and home hobbyists. It also features: AutoTect, which automatically guides the meter to display ac volts, dc volts or resistance modes according to the task at hand; VolTect, a built-in non-contact voltage detector of ac voltages; capacitance, frequency and continuity features; transient protection to 4 kV and overload protection to 450 V; CAT II 450 V/CAT III 300 V dual rating; and a protective holster.

PM55 automatic-precision pocket meter for HVAC technicians, residential and commercial electricians, plant maintenance, electronics technicians and engineers, field service technicians, computer/medical equipment/aircraft technicians, and engineering students. It also features a one-touch button for all features; AutoTect to automatically detect and display ac volts, dc volts or resistance modes; VolTect, a built-in non-contact voltage detector of ac voltages; 6,000-count autoranging, over-sized display; measures ac and dc current to 2,000 mA; frequency measurements to 30 kHz; capacitance to 2,000 mF; intelligent auto power off; and a protective holster and a zippered carrying case.
