Chicago, Ill. -Eight new models and several features have been added to M90, a palm-sized micro PLC and integral operator panel, offered by Unitronics Ltd. (Lod, Israel). Exhibited at the National Industrial Automation Show, the unit allows users to send and receive messages to control a machine via standard modem communications. Cell phone messaging capability based on GSM will be available in the near future.

M90 controller has just received UL listing, which should elevate its appeal to North American customers. Eight new I/O expansion units are part of the product enhancement. This takes M90’s functionality up to 64 I/O points. Expansion modules include analog I/O, digital I/O, relay, temperature sensing, and high-speed counter versions. RS-232 and CANbus networking of up to 63 M90 devices is available.
