Moisture sensor interface for web/bulk processes

Greensboro, N.C. -The Type 1035 moisture-to-computer interface is intended for web and bulk materials in process. Moisture measurement is often done by an electrically insulated roller, plate, or insertion probe that is applied to the material after it leaves the hot air or cylinder-type dryers. This often results in expensive overdrying. The Type 1035 does not isolate its probes. Instead, low current passing through the materials is conducted to the interface through the material handling equipment. Because this device has the same sensitivity over the entire moisture range once it is calibrated, it can accurately measure residual moisture in the product. Its electrical output is a linear function of percentage moisture in almost all-hygroscopic materials.
