Moore Process Automation Solutions announced June 18 that it has added Advanced Control and Operations Management (ACOM) programming to its APACS+ process automation system to help cultivate portfolios of bundled products and services for improved process optimization. This is expected to satisfy specialized process control needs by allowing applications to be added to APACS+ as needed, which will allow Advanced Process Control (APC), dynamic modeling and simulation, and data management within budget constraints. Initial ACOM bundles, which are defined, evaluated, and tested according to formal criteria, include products and associated application services for multi-variable predictive control (MVPC); modeling and simulation; and enterprise resource planning (ERP) integration. APACS+’s open platform provides a foundation on which industry-specific applications can be built to create a system solution.
