Courtesy: KontronKontron’s FusionClient HMI is an IIoT-ready human-machine interface (HMI) industrial computer platform family combines an edgeless pure glass multi-touch interface with the Kontron COM Express computer-on-module. It features multi-touch access to real-time actionable data, which makes FusionClient useful for real-time SCADA and manufacturing execution systems (MES) monitoring and control applications. The FusionClient is also prepared for gesture recognition, which enables a direct user interaction without touching. FusionClient is also Wi-Fi-enabled for seamless connectivity with plant machinery and other connected devices on the plant floor. The unique placement of the FusionClient’s Wi-Fi antennas directly behind the glass front ensure full bandwidth even if the FusionClient is mounted in a cabinet door.

FusionClient is also equipped with an LED alarm bar to provide machine status alerting even when the display is dimmed. The FusionClient multi-touch displays are frameless and feature easy-clean front glass that is anti-glare and scratch-proof as well as being IP65 front side protected. Based on the standard 16:9 wide format displays will be available in 10.1-, 15.6-, 18.5- and 21.5-in. sizes, both landscape & portrait. In addition to the W-LAN and LED alarm bar options for tracking and checking machine issues and their severity, a RFID reader can also be mounted behind the glass for enabling highly secure user access.
