Multiphase flow simulation in MS Excel spreadsheets

Invensys Process Systems has released version 4.1 of its SimSci-Esscor Inplant software, which simulates multiphase flow in plant utility and relief networks. V4.1 can model applications ranging from a depressuring study of a single vessel to the design and rating of a complete cooling water network for a refinery or petrochemical plant.

It incorporates the SimSci-Esscor SIM4ME Portal, which constructs a bidirectional communication link between the steady-state simulator (SimSci-Esscor Inplant, Pipephase or Pro/II simulation software) and a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. The portal enables developers to create an Inplant-aware Excel spreadsheet, allowing users to execute an Inplant simulation from within an Excel. www.ips.invensys.com Invensys Process Systems
