MUS series motors feature high performance in a small package

By Control Engineering Staff September 28, 2006

Magnets help the design of MUS series brushless motors.

MUS Series brushless motors from AC Technology, a member of the Lenze Group, was designed to be the most cost-effective motor available in the smallest package size. The motors are fitted with high flux density neodymium iron boron magnets, reducing rotor inertia. The result is higher performance in the form of high peak torque for acceleration and deceleration.

The compact MUS series covers a torque range from 380 W to 3.5 kW. The small package size opens opportunities to solve dynamic applications, especially where space constraints are a concern.
