Tucson, Ariz.- Otek Corp. reports that its recently introduced IS900 current loop controllers require no external power to operate. IS900 has high and low set points that measure and compare the current loop to a set point that turns its isolated, solid-state relays and LED on or off.
The controller can mount in line with any other IS900 series devices to create a measurement and control system with 4-20 mA output for a user’s DCS, SCADA or PC. It can also be used as a standalone in any 4-20 mA loop by connecting the IS900 in series with one side of the loop, which allows IS900’s ‘opto-isolated’ outputs to control load on-off and current loop proportionately.
IS900’s other features include: an optional 3.5-digit display, 100% set point adjustment range; and 3-36-mA dc minimum-maximum input current. Most common uses for this controller are for temperature, humidity, pressure, vacuum, shock and speed-related applications.
