Nyquist opens subsidiary in Singapore
Eindhoven, Netherlands – Nyquist Asia is the newly formed subsidiary of Nyquist Industrial Control now open for business in Singapore. The subsidiary will handle sales, support, and services for the company’s NYCe3000 Motion Control systems in the Asia-Pacific region-and specifically China-which Nyquist considers significant for potential growth.
Peter Wong, manager of Nyquist Asia, believes that Singapore’s location and culture offers an excellent gateway to the region and for business growth in the Asian OEM machine building market. “Especially in China, there is an enormous growth potential because of the developing economy. Machine builders in Asia want small, modular standard systems with an easy-to-use interface. Our open PC-based motion control systems, which can control up to 64 axes synchronously, meet the needs of the market completely,” says Mr. Wong.
A further reason for likely business success in Asia is “great willingness to contract out on that continent,” according to Nyquist ceo Eric Hezemans. “In Asia, a lot of machine builders do not have a research and development department. As they do not want to reinvent the wheel each time, they contract out the development to specialists with whom they can cooperate,” adds Mr. Hezemans.
Nyquist Industrial Control, an ISO 9001-certified company headquartered in Eindhoven, designs and markets motion control systems for a variety of industrial applications, among them semiconductor manufacturing equipment, robotics machines, and factory automation.
