ObjectAutomation reportedly resumes operations

Irvine, CA—ObjectAutomation (OA) announced July 1 that it has assembled a team of OA’s original software engineers and new talent in the U.S. and Europe, and is resuming operations.

Irvine, CA— ObjectAutomation (OA) announced July 1 that it has resumed operations. The company reports that it has assembled a team of OA’s original software engineers and new talent in the U.S. and Europe, and that it’s focused on reestablishing the firm and its OAenterprise system and customer base. OA reports that it was a pioneer in object-based industrial process monitoring, control, and automation software.

OA also announced that OAenterprise is fully supported in Europe by OA Europe BV (Netherlands).

‘This is a significant step in reestablishing ObjectAutomation as a global leader in the industrial automation marketplace,’ says Jon Wimer, one of OA’s original founders. ‘Existing OAenterprise customers will be very pleased with the level of support and service that is being re-stored. Added to that will be an aggressive R&D effort to ensure the system is at the forefront of the industry for many years to come.’

OA is also actively working with strategic partners to build vertical market solutions around OAenterprise. These solutions are reported to be highly configurable and reusable OAenterprise components that will be delivered to customers in weeks, not months, and at a fraction of the cost.

OA describes itself as a provider of process information and control solutions, which allow companies to graphically monitor, control, and coordinate operational or manufacturing processes. Unlike traditional control systems, OAenterprise offers an adaptive process modeling technology with unlimited extensibility and scalability, making it ideal for companies with multiple or complex automated processes that require tight control and coordination with high levels of productivity and quality.
