Watertown, Mass.— Ionics recently launched the HydroSense on-line oil-in-water monitors for reliable, maintenance-free operation. HydroSense uses fluorescence technology to detect and monitor ppm levels of aromatic carbons. It comes with installed software which provides a digital display of ppm levels of hydrocarbons in water, with variable output and display ranges for different applications. It can be calibrated with a two-step entry procedure, and its internal self-diagnostics automatically compensate for fluctuations in light intensity and lamp deterioration. The analyzers’ noncontact design has no tubes to foul and no moving components, filters, or solenoid valves to clean or repair. Ionics
