Omni-directional wireless antennas support multiple protocols

By Control Engineering Staff September 1, 2005

Pulse, a Technitrol Co., introduced six models of W1000-series antennas for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of wireless devices intended for IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, ZigBee, and Industrial, Scientific, and Medical (ISM) frequency bands. The antennas are omni-directional, providing 360-degree coverage to improve point-to-multipoint transmission and reception between devices on wireless local area networks (WLANs).

Antennas operate at 2.4 to 2.5 GHz and 5.15 to 5.85 GHz nominal frequencies, are dipole with a fundamental resonance ofr, and color options. Pricing begins at $4-5 in low volumes. Specifications are on data sheet WC713 on the Pulse Web site .
