Open, graphic, industrial HMI: Beijer Electronics iX HMI
New Beijer Electronics iX HMI solution is without barriers between design and engineering and is truly open, what the company calls the world's most graphic HMI solution.
Engineering is a crucial aspect in today’s cost equation. A reduced time to market as a result of efficient project development affords innovative companies a competitive edge. Beijer Electronics iX HMI has no barriers between design and engineering, allowing the user to create and configure HMI solutions in a streamlined user-friendly Microsoft Windows environment with ribbon tabs, tool tips and an intuitive work approach for more efficient project development.
Beijer Electronics iX allows users to express their ideas with a strong combination of state-of-the-art graphics and solid HMI functionality. iX covers the gap between proprietary operator panels and cost-intensive SCADA solutions, the company says. The iX software is supported by the next generation of Beijer Electronics’ award-winning operator panels and industrial PCs.
With the iX object browser users have superior control of objects while designing screens, the company says. The properties of any screen or object can be viewed or edited in the property grid. Uniform corporate screens and objects with time saving templates can be created and then reused in other screens or projects. Quick styles is an efficiency tool where users simply adjust the object style with shape fill and outline, drop shadow and bevel settings, etc.
With multiple objects editing users can easily edit common properties, such as background color, font, security settings, tag, etc. for a group of objects at the same time. The navigation manager gives a clear overview of all screens and templates, and their interconnection. Users can also simulate their HMI application before applying it to the machine, even without connecting the controller system.
