Oscilloscope breaks price/performance barrier
Beaverton, Ore. —TDS3000 is the second family of digital phosphor oscilloscopes (DPO) in less than six months. Touted as "the DPO for everyone," TDS3000 family is priced at $2,995 and features up to 500 MHz bandwidth, four-channel operation, and 5 gigasamples per second sample rate. Beaverton, Ore. —TDS3000 is the second family of digital phosphor oscilloscopes (DPO) in less than six months. Touted as “the DPO for everyone,” TDS3000 family is priced at $2,995 and features up to 500 MHz bandwidth, four-channel operation, and 5 gigasamples per second sample rate. DPOs display, store, and analyze in real-time using three dimensions of signal information: amplitude, time, and distribution of amplitude over time. This combines the intensity-graded display and responsiveness of an analog oscilloscope with the storage and measurement capabilities of a digital storage oscilloscope. Other features include color display, advanced logic and pulse triggering, and Fast Fourier Transform analysis. Tektronix Inc.
