PAS, Invensys Foxboro agree on alarm management package

(PAS) and Invensys Foxboro (Foxboro, MA) announced Jan. 2 that Invensys will distribute PAS' AMO Plus alarm management package as part of a complete Foxboro automation solution. A control system-independent software solution for alarm management and optimization, AMO is now available via Invensys' sales channels.
Houston, TX – Plant Automation Services Inc. (PAS) and Invensys Foxboro (Foxboro, MA) announced Jan. 2 that Invensys will distribute PAS’ AMO Plus alarm management package as part of a complete Foxboro automation solution. A control system-independent software solution for alarm management and optimization, AMO is now available via Invensys’ sales channels. AMO Plus consists of a systematic method for defining, measuring, analyzing, and improving the alarm system on a control system; provides a framework to apply an alarm philosophy that reflects industry best practices such as EEMUA 191; and helps meet requirements of OSHA Process Safety Management Regulation 1910.119.
