PC-based control products used on the Pattyn machines
Application uses Beckhoff CX1010 Embedded PC with directly connected EtherCAT Terminals; Beckhoff EL7041 and EL7031 stepper motor terminals control the stepper motors.
The integrated Pattyn Ceflex-21 bag-in-box packaging machine is controlled by the Beckhoff CX1010 Embedded PC with directly connected EtherCAT Terminals. In addition to the standard I/O terminals, the Beckhoff EL7041 and EL7031 stepper motor terminals control the stepper motors.
Beckhoff PC-based control technology allows integration of other vendors’ systems and devices without problems; openness of the PC controller makes it easier to manufacture custom machines, according to Pattyn Packing Lines. Pattyn said it would use Beckhoff control technology for its entire machine portfolio, including future addition of Beckhoff touchscreens.
