PC-based machine vision

Canton, Mass.— Visionscape is a complete machine vision system on a single PCI board for a PC running Microsoft Windows on an Intel Pentium-class machine. The product supports symbology reading applications OCV, bar code reading including Data Matrix as well as vision inspection, measurement, and guidance. The single-slot PCI board has an on-board CPU running a real-time operating system and vision acceleration hardware. The entire vision application runs on the board freeing the PC to run other applications. Visionscape supports up to four analog cameras, digital cameras, SVGA display, digital and analog I/O points, and on-board serial and network communications. The application development environment includes Microsoft Visual Basic access to underlying ActiveX controls. RVSI Acuity
