Wahl 32 pocket process calibrator/meter from Wahl Instruments Inc . reportedly simplifies maintenance operations and installation of sensors and transmitters using process signals such as 4-20 mA or 0-10 V. Device has a graphic interface for easy programming and reading and an accuracy of 0.015% of reading. Resolution is adjustable from a tenth to a thousandth of the value measured. Emission function generates simple or cyclic ramps with adjustable high and low levels, rising and falling times, and stabilization time. Unit also can generate steps and fixed values to check span and linearity of transmitters, panel meters, and recorders.
Statistical calculation of measurements includes maximum, minimum, and average of the measured signal. A hold function lets the user freeze the display measurement. A filter can be applied to minimize the least significant digit fluctuation. Device can measure current output of transmitters using Hart protocol. Designed for outdoor use, the P32’s low temperature coefficients provide accuracy in the worst ambient conditions. Features include a watertight IP54 housing, adjustable contrast and programmable backlight display, and an anti-shock rubber sheath.
