Portable ultrasonic flowmeter

New portable Fluxus F601 ultrasonic flowmeter from Flexim is fast and reliable.

Flexim’s new portable Fluxus F601 flowmeter
is the successor to the ADM 6725, adding a higher level of reliability and versatility. The company says the new version adds functionality based on user needs, resulting in a handy and robust clamp-on flowmeter with a NEMA 4X housing.

Ultrasound technology offers non-invasive flow measurement, so the device can be mounted anywhere it’s needed. Clamp-on transducers attach to the outside of the pipe with no process interruption. Only two transducer pairs are needed to cover the diameters most common in industrial applications, from 1/2 to 96 in. OD, with even wider ranges available. No zeroing procedure is necessary, since calibration data and transducer parameters are saved in a transducer internal memory, and automatically sent to the electronic unit upon connection. Flexim says that in less than 5 minutes, reliable values will appear on the display. Lithium ion batteries allow for more than 14 hours of operation with remaining battery capacity shown on the display.

Flexim’s HybridTrek measuring mode provides greater operating margin for fluids with high percentages of particulates or entrained gases, and the advanced correction algorithms for pipe wall echoes and transducer positioning increase the accuracy in difficult measuring conditions.
