GE Multilin has announced the RTT Desktop Test Set, a compact, portable tool that permits engineers, technicians, consultants, and integrators to test and validate protection, control logic, and configuration of protection relays, meters and PLCs before commissioning units in the field.Designed for bench testing devices typically found in substations and industrial facilities, the RTT performs single-phase secondary injection of ac current and voltage, provides control of digital inputs (wet and dry), applies resistance to RTD inputs, and monitors the status of contact outputs. The RTT test set is suitable for use as a training, development and education tool, and can help trainees understand how devices operate under real injection conditions.—Control Engineering News Desk(Register here and scroll down to select your choice of eNewsletters free.)
