Suited for use in automation, printing, converting, packaging, and machine tool industries, the IEC-compliant IndraControl L65 has 36 megabytes of program memory for extensive multitasking and running multiple device profiles, Bosch Rexroth says. With a 1-GHz Intel Celeron M processor, L65 provides excellent performance for motion-logic applications, company says. To save memory space and improve scan time, L65 PAC incorporates reusable code, reducing scan rate by 50% versus comparable PACs, the company says.
To save engineering time, L65 comes with dozens of PLCopen machine functions pre-programmed according to IEC 61131-3 standards. Scalable hardware allows machine builders to re-use programs from Rexroth PLCs and PACs without requiring different configurations or multiple versions. All PLCs and PACs, including IndraControl L65, can be programmed with the IndraWorks unified software program for seamless engineering, alleviating the need for a separate program for each model across the family.
With real-time Ethernet onboard and built-in connectivity for networks from Devicenet to Profinet, L65 provides one standard controller with flexible options to integrate into a variety of networks.
L65 is designed for scalability and saves on hardware costs. The unit comes with eight onboard I/O slots with expandability for up to 512 I/O on more complex machines. Function modules are easy to add. Features include one gigabyte of flash memory to store program data, back-up programs and program documentation, and an integrated display for settings and diagnostics. It is also a powerful motion controller, able to do 64 axes of motion control. A standard TCP/IP Ethernet port for remote access, engineering, visualization, or SCADA functionality, comes with the product.
