Programming: .NET-based development for distributed, real-time systems

As One Technologies Inc . formally released Catalyst, a .NET based development suite that builds on the capabilities of As One’s IQB software and its patented agent technology. The Catalyst architecture is said to increase productivity around the design and implementation of highly integrated, distributed, real-time systems, while providing flexibility for continuous improvement. As One Technologies provides systems based on its software architecture to automotive, semiconductor, and medical device manufacturers, as well as to OEMs and system integrators serving these markets.

According to As One, the Catalyst tools and architecture enhance the design and implementation of software systems. The graphical system development environment is referred to as a ‘software factory,’ in which systems are assembled graphically, not programmed. The architecture also allows domain experts to engage in solution development, and As One’s patented agent technology reportedly enables the creation of an unlimited number of domain-specific editors. The system also promotes the re-use of verified software solutions, which results in dramatically faster and robust implementations.
